So you want to adopt a Zen Cat Sanctuary kitten or cat? Amazing!
We know that adopting a new furry friend can be very exciting and emotional. It’s an important and life-changing decision, and we make every effort to ensure that we’re matching the cats of Zen Cat Sanctuary with the best forever home.
The Adoption Application is the first step of our adoption process, which also includes a Meet-and-Greet, the signing of an Adoption Agreement, and payment of our Adoption Fee. If you haven’t already checked out our Adoption Policies, please do so now.
Please understand that we reserve the right to deny an adoption application based on our discretion.

Donations above and beyond the adoption fee are greatly appreciated and help us continue to rescue the cats and kittens most in need. Once you’ve adopted a new pet into your family, all veterinary expenses are your responsibility for the life of your pet.
Adoption fees:
The Zen Cat Sanctuary adoption fee for cats one year and older is $150 and $200 for kittens.
The adoption Fee does not include test results for FeLV (Feline Leukemia) and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).
We offer 3rd party FeLV/FIV testing prior to adoption at an additional cost of $50.
Our Return Policy
If for any reason you need to give up your Zen Cat Sanctuary cat or kitten — be it weeks, months or years from the day you adopt a cat or kitten from us — we require that you return him or her to Zen Cat Sanctuary. Please note that our ADOPTION FEE IS NON REFUNDABLE.
A Lifetime Commitment
Animals are for life. When you adopt an animal, it is a commitment you make to the animal for the lifetime of that animal. We’re always here to answer questions and help solve problems. By adopting a cat from Zen Cat Sanctuary, you’re committing to provide love, care, and medical treatment for the cat's life, which can be up to 20 years.
Adopting a cat is a serious commitment but one that is incredibly rewarding. If you cannot make such a long-term commitment, we would be happy to have you become a foster parent instead or consider volunteering at Zen Cat Sanctuary. It’s a great way to make a difference in a cat’s life without taking on such a long-term commitment.
Leave us a message and we will reply as soon as possible.
